Impossible Acres is a little farm specializing in direct marketing of produce to regular folk like you. The farm is located in northern California between the towns of Davis, Dixon, Woodland, and Winters. The physical address is 37945 County Road 31, Davis, CA, 95616. (…careful… the mailing address is different….)
We currently have 2 main seasons when we are open to the public.
The Pickin’ Patch May, June, and July
It shares the same entrance and parking areas as the Pumpkin Patch, but the picking fields are located behind the barns in the 10-acre parcel to the south. The Pickin’ Patch is open from late May – July each year. For 2020, we open on Saturday, May 30 at 9:00 am. We close on Friday, July 31, 2020 at 6:00 pm.
At The Pickin’ Patch we have small orchards and berry patches set up for people to pick their own produce. You can get tree or vine ripened apricots, plums, pluots, apriums, cherries, blackberries, raspberries, nectarines and peaches. (Other stuff, too!) It is hard to predict when the different crops will be ripe each year, so you never know what you might be picking when you come.
For 2020, there is a $2 per person charge to enter the Pickin’ Patch. Parking is free. When you are done picking, you pay per pound for the produce you picked.
The Pickin’ Patch is open to the public Wednesday-Sunday every week starting the last week in May. We are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays except if a holiday falls on a Monday. Then we will likely be open on the holiday. For example, we will likely be open on Memorial Day and July 4th. Apart from these holidays, our normal business hours are 9:00 am – 6:00 pm Wed.- Sun.
The Pumpkin Patch and Grandpa’s Barn October
Our pumpkin patch shares the same entrance and parking as The Pickin’ Patch, but it is situated on the front half (the north 10 acres) of the farm near the barns. It is on the corner of 98 (Pedrick Rd.) and 31 (Covell Blvd.) The address is 37945 County Road 31, Davis, CA, 95616.
(Eeek! I don’t have time to tell you about Grandpa’s Barn and the pumpkin patch right now…. Just don’t accidentally go there because it is NOT open in the spring or summer. Only The Pickin’ Patch is open during the spring and summer.)
